Breaking: NVIDIA Expands Cloud Library with 16 Games and Next-Gen Performance
NVIDIA announced today a major expansion of its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, adding 16 new titles in May and extending RTX 5080-class performance to more games. The move includes day-one launches of Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light, available on launch dates from Steam, Xbox, PC Game Pass, and GOG.

“May is going to be a monumental month for cloud gaming,” said a senior NVIDIA product manager. “We’re delivering AAA blockbusters straight to the cloud and supercharging the experience with our latest RTX 5080 technology for Ultimate members.”
Six games kick off the wave this week, with the remaining titles rolling out throughout the month, according to the company.
Day-One Blockbusters Hit the Cloud
Forza Horizon 6 from Playground Games arrives on its global launch day—set in a sprawling Japan map from Tokyo’s neon streets to the snowy Alps. Members can stream it instantly on almost any device after purchasing via Steam or Xbox (including Game Pass).
007 First Light, developed by IO Interactive, also launches day-one on the cloud on May 27. The game offers a modern James Bond origin story with a “breathing” stealth-action loop. It is available on Steam, Xbox on PC, and GOG.
“Having these two massive titles streamable on day one is a game-changer,” said an industry analyst at Cloud Gaming Insights. “It shows NVIDIA’s commitment to removing hardware barriers for the biggest releases.”
RTX 5080 Power Expands Across the Library
GeForce NOW Ultimate members now get priority access to RTX 5080-class rigs, delivering higher frame rates, richer visuals, and lower latency across a growing list of supported games. This expansion also covers the Install-to-Play library, allowing users to stream PC games they already own without repurchasing.
“We’re dialing up the performance for every session,” the NVIDIA spokesperson added. “Whether you’re racing in Forza or infiltrating as Bond, the cloud now feels like a local high-end PC.”
Background: Cloud Gaming’s Rapid Evolution
GeForce NOW has been NVIDIA’s flagship cloud gaming service since 2015, allowing members to stream their existing PC game libraries—from Steam, Epic, Xbox, and more—across PCs, Macs, phones, tablets, and TVs. The service has added hundreds of titles with support for ray tracing, DLSS, and low-latency streaming.

Previously, RTX 5080-class performance was limited to a smaller subset of games. This expansion aligns with NVIDIA’s strategy to make high-end cloud gaming the default for its top-tier subscriber tier.
Additionally, the May update celebrates 30 years of Firaxis Games, adding more of the studio’s classics as Install-to-Play titles. A Steam sale on select Firaxis titles runs concurrently.
What This Means: A New Era for Cloud Gamers
For gamers, the May rollout removes two major barriers: hardware cost and game availability. With day-one AAA titles arriving on the cloud, players no longer need to invest in pricey GPUs or wait for downloads. The RTX 5080 boost means even graphically intensive games run smoothly on low-spec devices.
“This effectively turns any screen into a high-end gaming PC,” the analyst noted. “Casual players get instant access, while enthusiasts can offload heavy workloads to NVIDIA’s servers.”
For NVIDIA, the expansion cements GeForce NOW as a competitive alternative to console and local PC gaming, potentially driving more subscribers to the Ultimate tier at $19.99 per month.
What’s Next?
NVIDIA has not confirmed titles for June, but the company is expected to continue its monthly cadence of new releases. With RTX 5080 penetration increasing and more AAA studios embracing cloud streaming, GeForce NOW is positioning itself as the streaming platform of choice for 2025 and beyond.
Members can check the full May lineup on the GeForce NOW website and begin streaming this week’s six games immediately.
